Step 1
It is necessary to wash rats in different cases: before an exhibition, when the animal is sick, or if you have got a pathological muddy (yes, there are such rats among rats). First you need to check whether the rat is afraid of water. Wet your hand with water and wipe the face, ears, paws - if the rat reacted calmly to your actions, go to the bathroom.
Step 2
Now your actions depend on how shy the rat is. Some rats with a happy muzzle swim in the bathtub or in the sink, and some emit a death squeak and are afraid to even dip their paws in water. If your rat is not afraid of water, you do not need to do anything - wait until it melts, and then dry it well. If dirt remains on the fur or tail, it can be carefully removed with a soft toothbrush. If the rat is about to die at the sight of water, pour some water into a small bucket or basin and gently lower the rat into it. Talk affectionately with the animal, stroke and gently massage the fur. As soon as the procedure is completed, wipe the animal dry and put it in a cage away from a draft.

After all the torment is over, treat your pet with something tasty - she deserves it.
