According to experts, it is impossible to tame a crocodile, therefore it is impossible to consider it as a traditional pet. In this regard, it is quite widespread that people who decide to have a crocodile usually want to surprise others and demonstrate their capabilities - after all, caring for and maintaining such an animal is a very laborious and expensive task.

Sometimes you can hear about the desire to have a crocodile in the apartment, so that he "swims in the bathroom." People who are tempted by this option need to remember that the length of most types of crocodiles is from 2 to 5.5 meters. Also, do not forget that these animals are predators, the victims of which have repeatedly become people.

Regardless of why a person wants to get a crocodile, it is better to buy it only with the appropriate documents - otherwise the transaction can be called illegal. The seller must have all veterinary certificates and permits.

It is also important that they belong to the class of reptiles, or reptiles, which, although they spend most of their time in the water, periodically crawl out onto land. Individuals living in their natural environment, for example, go to the sandbank in the early morning or late afternoon, taking "sunbathing". Therefore, it will be quite difficult for a crocodile to limit itself to just one bathroom.

Abroad, crocodiles have long been used for circus performances, demonstrating various tricks. For example, in Thailand, local animal trainers keep the audience in suspense by sticking their head into the mouth of a predator or plopping their feet almost at its mouth. Considering that only by striking the tails, the crocodile is able to kill its victim, the performance can be called a real horor drive.

Before you start a crocodile, you must take into account that the pet will require quite a lot of full-fledged natural food, in particular, fish and frogs, mice, chickens and large insects (locusts or cockroaches), as well as molluscs.

Crocodile farms, which are quite common in a number of countries, are gradually gaining popularity in Russia. Among Russian crocodile farms, the Yekaterinburg Crocodileville is quite famous, the owner of which reports that at the moment 113 crocodiles live in it, as well as snakes of 4 venomous species, 5 species of rare pythons, several monitor lizards and lizards. The animals got to him in various ways. So, the Cuban crocodile previously lived with one of the Moscow oligarchs, who decided to get himself such an exotic pet. However, over time, when the crocodile grew older, caring for him became quite problematic - after all, this is a predatory animal that takes a lot of time.

Crocodiles are also bred for purely practical purposes - it is known that in a number of camps their meat is readily eaten. According to experts, the taste of crocodile meat depends on what they ate. Crocodile skin is also used, in particular, alligators, from which expensive haberdashery products are made: briefcases, suitcases, belts, as well as shoes.

However, due to the predatory extermination of crocodiles in some countries, their number has sharply decreased recently, which immediately affected the level of piranhas - their population there has increased significantly, so the authorities not only have to take environmental measures, but also encourage the development of special farms where they are engaged breeding crocodiles.
