The advantage of a fabric house is that it is very convenient to wash it in a washing machine on a delicate cycle as the fabric becomes dirty.

Another option is to make a house out of a regular cardboard box. Cut the entrance into it, and lay a soft rug on the bottom. The downside of this design is that the cardboard absorbs the smell very well, which is quite persistent in dogs, so the box itself will have to be changed every one or two months.
