Why does a goat poop with peas?
There are some similarities between goats and cows. Both those and others spend the night in a stable or shed, and during the day they graze in a meadow or in a forest. Each of them eats grass (in winter and spring it can be hay) and drinks water. However, the waste products of these animals, which live in principle in the same conditions, look completely different. It is possible to determine that cows were grazing on the field by the fact that it is abundantly "mined" with so-called cow cakes (the excrement of cows and bulls has the shape of a wide flat circle). The goat, on the other hand, leaves behind small, dense balls without a pronounced odor, usually having a diameter of no more than 2 cm. Why does the excrement of these animals look different?
It's all about the characteristics of the body of each of the pets. For example, the digestive tract of a cow does not absorb moisture from food very actively, and the digested food in a liquid consistency simply flows through it. It is logical that at the exit a puddle of feces is obtained, which, drying out, becomes the very "cow cake". In dogs, for example, moisture is normally absorbed more intensively than in cattle, so their excrement is oblong.
Finally, small livestock such as goats absorb almost all moisture in the digestive tract. As it dries, the digested food debris is divided into small fragments. They become streamlined as they move through the intestines. That is why, after a goat has defecated, a pile of pebble-like waste remains - in other words, "the goat poops with balls."
What is a goat for in a household?
First of all, a goat is a completely unpretentious pet. It is much easier to keep on the farm than a cow, and the goat eats much less. She daily gives from a liter and more fatty milk, which is considered healing. Goat wool shawls and socks are very warm, lightweight and soft. The goat is a very intelligent animal that many owners put on the same level of development as cats and dogs.
