Is there a fluffy kitten in your house? This is a great event. Our little friends can give a sea of love and positive emotions. But the animal in the house is not only entertainment, but also a great responsibility. And the most common problem that pet owners have to face is that he does not go to the toilet in a specially designated place for him. Some people in this case just give the animal to other families, but you can show a little patience and teach the cat to walk in the litter box.
If the kitten is still very small, then it is quite easy to teach him to cope with his needs in a certain place. Monitor the baby for several days, and as soon as he is attached somewhere with a specific purpose, take and carry him to the tray. Put him there, stroke him, thereby you show that you approve of his behavior. You can take the kitten's legs and do the appropriate raking action. If you regularly carry out such manipulations, you will soon see how your pet himself will begin to walk into the tray. If sometimes embarrassment even occurs, then there is no need to shout or, moreover, beat the animal. Such a reaction of yours can lead to the fact that the cat will spite you to do his "business" anywhere.
A small kitten may sometimes not have time to reach the litter box, or simply still poorly navigates the house. Therefore, you should first place the toilet closer to the pet's habitat and gradually move it to an increasing distance. Eventually, once the litter box is where you need it, the kitten will get used to it and know how to get to it.
If the cat is already quite an adult, but at the same time there are problems with walking into the tray, then you can try to buy a special tool in the pet store, which helps to accustom the animal to cope with its needs in the right places. Spray on the tray with this product, a special scent will show the cat where to go to the toilet. Simultaneously with such a remedy, you can purchase another aerosol that smells unpleasant for the animal, and spray in those places where he used to go to the toilet.
A cat's reluctance to go to the toilet may be due to the fact that, for example, he does not like the litter. Try changing it: buy a different brand or a different composition (for example, replace the mineral filler with wood filler), or maybe your pet will prefer ordinary sand or an empty tray altogether. Also, the reason may be that the cat does not like the location of the litter box or he is so clean that he cannot perform both small and large physiological needs in one litter box. Therefore, put the cat litter in a different place or buy another, additional one.
Or maybe your cat doesn't like the litter box on its own, and it will be easier for you to train him to go to the toilet in other places. For example, if you live in your own house or on the first floor, you can let the beast out into the street or train it to go to the toilet. In general, there are many options for teaching a cat to walk in the right place. The main thing in this business is to have patience and a desire to train your pet, and you should not be nervous if it does not work out right away, since animals acutely feel our emotional state. And this can prevent you from achieving a positive result.
