A puppy for a hunter is a wonderful gift, he will be a real friend to him. What kind of puppy can you give him? It already depends on what kind of hunter. Maybe he hunts waterfowl or hares, or maybe he goes to a bear or wild boar.
What breeds of hunting dogs are there?
For a hunter on small burrowing animals - hares, badgers, foxes, a dachshund or fox terrier puppy will be an ideal gift (it is advisable to find a puppy from parents with a good pedigree, these dogs have innate skills). At the same time, these dogs are not at all large, but keeping them in an apartment will create certain difficulties. For example: German Pointing Shorthaired Pointer, Langhaar, Drathhaar, which differ only in their fur. In appearance they are large, powerful, loyal, easily trainable, very disciplined dogs.

How to choose a puppy?
It is best to choose a puppy from the litter and observe him from birth during the suckling period. Pay attention to the puppy who was born first. He will be stronger and larger than others. Then you need to determine which of the puppies has the best sense of smell. This can be easily determined in the following way: puppies with a good sense of smell will be able to find the mother's nipples very quickly.

When their eyes open, puppies begin to recognize sounds. At the same time, hearing acuity will not be the same for everyone. By making a faint sound, you can see how any of the puppies lift the ear shells, others may not react to the sound in any way.
