If you decide to raise your puppy to be a show champion, the first thing to start with is to teach your dog to hold the correct stance. Your multi-day efforts will not go to waste if you are patient with your baby. And experts will not bypass your pet afterwards when distributing the coveted rewards.

Step 1
Train your puppy to the show rack as soon as he gets comfortable in your house and accepts you as a master. Usually puppies are bought at the age of 1, 5-2 months, and it takes them no more than a week to develop the territory and initially recognize the authority of the owner.
Step 2
Teach your puppy from infancy to be pulled by the limbs when posed.
Step 3
Position the puppy so that all possible flaws are not visible from the outside. Do not forget that experts pay special attention to the positioning of the front and hind limbs, as well as to the flat surface of the animal's back.
Step 4
Grasp the dog under the chest with one hand and lift it up. Lower the dog so that its front legs are strictly perpendicular to the floor. Place the hind legs with your free hand so that at the same time one of them protrudes slightly back. Pay attention to the fact that the hind legs between themselves should be set slightly wider than the front ones.
Step 5
Hire a dog handler to assess your preliminary display rack work. But remember that the specialist will only help you put the dog in the most advantageous position, while you will have to do most of the exercises with the dog yourself.
Step 6
Put the dog in the position recommended by the dog handler 2-3 times daily. Each time you do this, say the command "stand" or "ring" before placing the dog. If the dog has successfully completed the task, treat him with a treat so that a reflex chain is built in his mind: the command "ring" ("stand") -> a certain position of the paws -> a tasty morsel.
Step 7
Take your time and do not punish the puppy if he cannot stand for a long time. The dog must gradually get used to the stance, developing the so-called "muscle memory". Over time, the animal will be able to take the required position not for a few seconds, as it was initially, but for a few minutes.
