For squirrels, rats, and mice, collect hazelnuts and acorns. For squirrels - pine and spruce cones with pressed scales. Store them in a cool place. Fresh wild berries are a delicacy for many birds and animals. But even in dry form, they will be eaten with pleasure by your pets (for example, goldfinch, bullfinch). You can prepare berries of mountain ash, juniper, blueberry, lingonberry, viburnum, bird cherry. Store each type of dried berries in a separate box or jar. Then all that remains is to pour boiling water over them and offer them to the birds.
For goldfinches, collect burdock heads and seeds, alder and birch seeds. Stinging nettle seeds will go into the bullfinch mix. And weavers will appreciate the leaves of this plant. When chopped, it is good to add them to the main feed (juicy color of plumage is maintained). Stock up on river sand (rinse or burn it over a fire). Owners of birds, hamsters, terrarium animals will need it. And you can use coal from extinguished fires as a mineral feed for birds.
