If you need to go somewhere and take your cat or cat with you, then, of course, it is most convenient to travel by private car. You can stop at any time, walk yourself and let the animal stretch out - naturally, on a leash and in a harness. Another rather convenient way to travel with your cat is to travel by train, but in this case you cannot do without a specially collected package of documents. What should be included in it?

Step 1

The most important document of your animal is its veterinary passport, which contains notes on all necessary vaccinations. If, for example, your trip takes place on the territory of Russia, then there will be enough marks that the animal has been given a comprehensive vaccination and vaccination against rabies. However, for the import of a cat to some regions, chipping must be done in advance, in which a special microchip with a 15-digit unique identification number is implanted under the animal's skin. In turn, a note about chipping must be entered in the animal's veterinary passport.

Step 2

To transport a thoroughbred animal, you will need a certificate taken in advance from your felinological club stating that the cat or cat is not a valuable representative of the breed, the export of which is fraught with any risks for the organization.

Regardless of whether your cat is purebred or not, you must certainly have the so-called "certificate number 1" in your hands - a special certificate, which only state veterinary clinics have the right to issue. This document is issued on the day of contacting the clinic and is valid only for three days from the date of issue, so a visit to the veterinarian is best done on the eve of the departure date. The certificate must indicate the city of departure, place of arrival, as well as transit settlements. If you are traveling to another city only for a while, then before leaving on the way back, be sure to get a certificate in the same form in the veterinary clinic of the city from which you will leave.

Step 3

Finally, the travel document for the cat itself is the baggage receipt, which is marked with the "Luggage on hand" mark. The owner of the animal can get it at the baggage office by presenting his ticket and veterinary certificate for the cat. If you board a train at a small station, your carriage conductor or train manager can issue a baggage check.
