Step 1
First, choose where the puppy will be. It should not be in the aisle or in a draft. It is desirable to have some kind of secluded corner so that the puppy can feel solitary there in moments of rest. As a bedding, you can use special dog beds or a mattress. The bed that you choose will serve him for relaxation, or in case he interferes with people, for example, when receiving guests.
Step 2
Take some cloth from the puppy's former owners, a piece of bedding that would smell like his mother. Put this fabric in its future place, you can sew it into the mattress. This will make it easier for the puppy to come to terms with the loss of its mother. He will smell a familiar scent and calm down faster.
Step 3
So, you have arranged the place, the puppy has been brought into the house. Training should begin on the very first day of his presence in your apartment. As soon as you see that the puppy is tired, or he ate well and is looking for somewhere to lie down, you need to take him to the bed of your choice, put him there and say “place”. This should be done every time he wants to lie down in the wrong place. It will be quite easy to accustom the puppy to its place if you accompany the training with gentle words and strokes.
Step 4
Do not try to train your puppy when he is interested in play, hungry, or sick. This will cause him to protest and the learning process will only slow down.

If the puppy, after enough time to memorize the command, protests against it and refuses to follow it, tighten the training measures. Tie him by the leash near his bed and speak the command in a stern voice. Over time, when you are sure that the command is secured, undo the leash and do not escort him to the bed, only give the command with your voice and stay in place.
