Step 1

Endangered species of animals need protection. Each of these types is interesting in its own way and unique. Such animals simply need close attention from humans, since they are a very vulnerable part of the organic world. If you do not take proper care of these animals, very soon they can completely disappear from the face of the earth. In this regard, all over the world, laws are being adopted regarding the protection of representatives of the fauna, with the aim of preserving and, if possible, increasing the population of rare species of animals. In the Russian Federation, the law on the protection of wildlife was adopted on June 25, 1980.

Step 2

Some of the rarest animals in the world are African predatory cats - lions and cheetahs. Illegal human activity poses a great threat to their population. Nocturnal lemurs, aye-aye, live on the island of Madagascar, the number of which in the wild does not exceed 20 individuals. It should be noted that other lemur species are in serious need of protection. An almost extinct species can be considered the Galapagos turtles. Sumatran rhinos, numbering about 300 individuals, are also considered rare animals. Despite the fact that these rhinos are protected, poachers continue to exterminate them for their valuable horn.

Step 3

Giant panda.

These funny "bamboo bears", unfortunately, are listed in the Red Book as one of the rarest animals in need of protection. All over the world, there are no more than 700 individuals of these funny animals. The lion's share of giant pandas lives in the territories of Chinese reserves. It is almost impossible to meet them in the wild. In addition, giant pandas are recognized as a national treasure in China.

Step 4

Snow Leopard.

The irbis (or snow leopard) is a small and very rare species that belongs to the feline family. In the Red Book, the snow leopard is assigned the first category of danger of extinction: this species is under a real threat of extinction. According to experts from the World Wildlife Fund, currently the number of snow leopards does not exceed 100 individuals.

Step 5

Amur tiger.

Another wild cat, the number of which is on the verge of complete extinction. Amur tigers are among the rarest predators on the planet, as well as the largest tigers in the world. This rare species is listed in the International Red Book. On the territory of the Russian Federation, these animals live only in the Khabarovsk and Primorsky territories. According to the latest census data, there are no more than 450 individuals in Russia.

Step 6

Komodo dragon.

The largest lizards in the world also need protection. They live on the Indonesian island of Komodo and serve as the prototype for the Chinese dragon. An adult exceeds 3 m in length and weighs more than 150 kg. Because of their size, Komodo monitor lizards have been hunted by humans since ancient times. Very beautiful and durable things are obtained from the skin of these lizards.
