You cannot be indifferent to parasites in pets. This threatens the health of both animals and people. While numerous flea control agents have been developed for cats and dogs, there are still fewer such agents for rabbits.

Step 1
Determine that fleas are the cause of frequent scratching in the rabbit: examine the fur on the back and withers (most often fleas are in these places). If you notice red dots on the skin, black particles that look like ground black pepper, then most likely you are seeing flea bites and their excrement. And even if you have not yet noticed the fleas themselves, you need to start treatment.
Step 2
Bathe your rabbit with an insecticidal shampoo (Bolfo, Neguvon). Strictly follow the dosage directions on the package. Put on rubber gloves, distribute the product over all skin, gently rubbing the product into the skin, rinse with warm water after 10-15 minutes (the product is toxic, so rinse off thoroughly, then comb the wool with a comb and dry with a towel).
Step 3
Repeat the procedure a week later, then again to avoid re-infection with the remaining larvae. Thoroughly wash the apartment, clean the carpets, spray the animal's mats and rugs with anti-flea spray, then vacuum them.
Step 4
Apply flea drops (Frontline, Advantage). Following the dosage directions, apply the product to the withers. Do not allow the rabbit to reach out with the tongue to the places on the skin where the product has got into, as this can lead to poisoning. After application, you can not bathe the animal for two days, also refrain from walking outside for a day after application. Repeat the treatment after a month or two months, depending on the recommendations for the frequency of treatment for each product.
Step 5
Use a 0.5% solution of bromocyclene (insecticidal agent) if you have not found special products in a ready-made, dosage package. Put on rubber gloves, spread the solution over the entire skin of the animal, let stand for 10-15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water, comb the coat and dry the rabbit with a towel. Repeat the procedure a week later.
