Under normal conditions, the owner usually changes some of the water in the aquarium. This is required by the conditions of keeping many species of fish. The need for a complete water change is extremely rare - for example, when it is necessary to disinfect or repair the aquarium itself. This is often not recommended as the aquarium is a well-established ecosystem that should not be disturbed.

Instructions
Step 1
Collect water in the jug. Use aquarium water as it is familiar to your fish in terms of temperature and chemical composition. A spare aquarium, basin or bucket can serve as a jigger. Move the fish there for a while. If there are a lot of guests, then provide good aeration.
Step 2
Remove plants if possible. If algae disease is the cause of the water change, discard the old ones and plant new ones. In any case, remove valuable plants that could be accidentally damaged.
Step 3
As a rule, the aquarium is not on the floor, but on some kind of elevation. Place a bucket next to it so that its top is below the bottom of the aquarium. If the elevation is small, it is more convenient to take a pelvis of a suitable volume.
Step 4
Take the hose flexible enough, but at the same time it should not form kinks. Since you have to use it quite often, it is better to choose it once for many years. Its length should be at least 2.5 times the height of the aquarium.
Step 5
Fill the hose with tap water and clamp both ends. Place special clips on the ends. If they are not at hand, you can plug both holes with just your fingers. Of course, the section should be slightly less than the size of the finger.
Step 6
Submerge one end of the cord in the aquarium so that it is close to the bottom. This will remove the dirt along with the unnecessary water. Lower the other end into a basin or bucket and remove the clamps.
Step 7
Be careful not to overflow the water. Once the basin is full, lift the end of the hose in it above the water level in the aquarium. Drain the water down the toilet and continue until the aquarium is empty.
