Step 1
Start accustoming the bird to flying a month after it appears in the apartment. During this time, try to accustom the parrot to the hands. The feathered one must get used to not doing anything bad to him, on the contrary, apply food, bring fresh water, clean the cage.
Step 2
When the bird gets used to you and is no longer afraid, start accustoming it to flying. First, close the windows, vents, hang mirrors. Place the parrot on your finger and take it out of the cage. Watch the bird's reaction. Some parrots throw themselves into the cage, others rush to fly away from it. In the first case, it is worth repeating the sequence of actions with the "removal" of the parrot on the finger several times. He must understand what the entrance to the cage is and where it is.
Step 3
If the parrot did not fly the first time, this does not mean that it will not fly at all. Perhaps he has health problems: he lacks vitamins, you overfed him and he is obese. Please consult your veterinarian about this.
Step 4
A prerequisite for the organization of a parrot's flights is to ensure its safety. To avoid injury or even death of the bird, closely monitor your pet. The parrot loves to sit on the door, so you or someone in the household, inadvertently, can press him with her. Another "enemy" of the feathered one is window curtains with a coarse-mesh texture. In them, the bird can get entangled and dislocate its paw. The danger is also presented by open aquariums, gaps between walls and cabinets, vents not covered with mesh. Starting to accustom the bird to flying, eliminate all danger zones.

Arrange for the return of the parrot to the cage. Leave a dim light in the room, and highlight the cage brighter. The parrot should be attracted by a feeder with food and a saucer of water. Place his favorite treats and toys in the cage.

When the parrot leaves the cage, try to captivate him. If the parrot is tamed enough, it will seek your company and fly after you. Birds need flying to prevent muscle atrophy.
