After the complete fertilization of mating, the discharge in a dog in most cases either changes its color or stops altogether. Such a sign of determining pregnancy in a dog is quite reliable.
Step 2
It is almost impossible to notice that the result of mating was fertilization in the first month of pregnancy. Some animals get a little fat, others have a strong appetite, while others, on the contrary, refuse food and feel very bad. A sign of pregnancy in some dogs may be a sudden softening of the coat or unusual behavior (constant anxiety or, conversely, relaxation).
Step 3
A dog that gets pregnant after mating, as a rule, begins to "swing his rights." In nature, the status of an animal carrying puppies increases. The dog is respected and protected by all the other members of its pack. Therefore, do not be surprised if, after knitting, your pet becomes noticeably impudent and behaves much more relaxed than before knitting.
Step 4
At one month of gestation, the signs become more pronounced. The area of the mammary glands in dogs thickens, the glands themselves become clearly visible, and the nipples swell. In addition, the nipples in fair-skinned dogs turn bright pink.
Step 5
At the beginning of the second month of pregnancy, the dog can also notice the expansion of its chest, or rather, an increase in the volume of the abdomen behind the ribs. The dog becomes much calmer and more careful.
Step 6
In the second month of pregnancy, the dog's greatly enlarged mammary glands cannot be overlooked. Around the nipples, halos of hairless skin are formed on them. And 8-10 days before giving birth, as a rule, milk begins to ooze from the swollen nipples of the dog.
Step 7
Three weeks before giving birth, the weight of a pregnant dog begins to increase dramatically. In general, a dog's pregnancy usually lasts about 63 days.
