Carp is a valuable large commercial fish and a breeding object in ponds. Artificial growing of carp is quite doable. Breeding carp can involve artificial feeding. Without the introduction of feed, on the natural resources of the reservoir in the middle lane, no more than 20 kg of fish can be grown per year in terms of 0.1 hectare, and with feeding - several times more. Therefore, a person who decides to start breeding carp needs to know how to feed them properly.
The food base, consisting of natural food and prepared food, plays an important role for the growth and life of fish. Artificially prepared feed - grain waste of wheat, barley, corn, etc., cake and compound feed. If the feed crumbles easily, then knead it in the form of a thick dough. Cereal grains should be swollen and castor beans or beans parboiled.
Bring food into the pond manually and using feeders. Bring food for carp manually to strictly defined feeding points or strips in areas of a reservoir with solid ground free from aquatic vegetation. In ponds with soft ground, use feeder tables. You can use both passive and active feeders (dispensing feed) types. Pendulum auto-feeders and aero-feeders are very effective.
The daily feeding rate is determined by the weight of the fish and the temperature of the water. With a weight of up to 0, 5 g, the amount of feed should be 100%, the mass of fish 500 g - 2, 8% of their weight. Young carp should be fed every hour. After reaching a mass of 10 g, the number of meals can be reduced. At a water temperature of 24 ° C, the number of feedings may not exceed 6, at 14-20 ° C - 4 and at -14 ° C, fish should be given food 2-3 times a day. In winter, when the water temperature is above 6 ° C, the fish should also be fed, but the daily ration should be no more than 2% of the fish mass.
The increase in the number of complementary feedings should also be proportional to the decrease in the availability of natural products, i.e. with the minimum content of natural food - the maximum number of meals, and, conversely, during the period of maximum development of natural food - the minimum number of servings. In the presence of a connected electrical network, it is recommended to install equipment (preferably with pneumatic spraying of feed for a large-scale complex), which will ensure a continuous supply of food throughout the day.
Feed the carp at the same time, in a permanently designated area. This develops a conditioned reflex in the fish, it finds food faster, assimilates it better, and the food, in turn, does not have time to sour. Control how the fish eats food. If it remains in some places, reduce its distribution the next day.
So, artificial breeding of carp is quite feasible.
