It will take a long time for a beautiful proud dog to grow from a small fluffy ball. Spitz caring is a challenge for patient dog breeders. The puppy needs to be combed daily, claws should be cut once every half a month, make sure that he does not get hurt. The main thing is not to let children squeeze this creature. Perhaps, only in matters of feeding, everything is more or less clear.

Instructions

Step 1

Ask the breeder what food the puppy was getting before you purchased it. Often, along with the vaccination card, breeders give the puppy's feeding scheme.

Step 2

Transfer it to other foods gradually. Remember, dry food is not a staple of your diet. Combine them with natural products.

Step 3

If the puppy is one and a half to two months old, feed him 4-5 times a day. Then the number of feedings will decrease, and the volume of portions will increase. So, at three to four months feed the puppy 4 times a day, at five to seven - 3 times. From seven months it can be switched to the feeding regimen of an adult dog - 2 times a day. The Spitz can only go for a walk if at least two hours have passed since the meal.

Step 4

Do not overfeed your Spitz puppy so that a "fluffy barrel" does not start up in your apartment later. In puppies, just like in children, metabolism is very unstable, and only a daily routine and balanced feeding will help you avoid mistakes. Even an adult Spitz should not be given a lot of fatty foods.

Step 5

Spitz are unpretentious in food, but puppies should be fed only soft food. Boil meat, fish (boneless), vegetables, cereals, eggs. Meat for both puppies and adults is fed at the rate of 20-30 g per day per 1 kg of weight. The total daily ration of the puppy is 100-150 ml. Puppies need vitamins and minerals, but they should only be given after consulting a veterinarian or breeder.

Step 6

Be sure to feed your baby with dairy products (cottage cheese, fermented baked milk, sour cream, cheese), but only at room temperature and in small portions. Add vegetable oil, not butter, to cereals, or cook them in bone or liquid meat broth. Bones can only be given from 4-5 months, when in dogs milk teeth change to permanent ones. Neither a puppy nor an adult Spitz should be given tubular chicken bones, pieces of beef or pork.

Step 7

Do not offer your pet food from your table. No smoked meats, sweets should be in the baby's diet. Peas, beans and cabbage are also prohibited because they can cause bloating and stomach cramps. As a last resort, put a spoonful of sauerkraut, but no spices, in a bowl.

Step 8

Place the portion in a dish made for small dogs, a bowl with low sides. The puppy should not reach for food so as not to spoil digestion and posture. Provide him with free access to water, pour it into a separate bowl.
